Wilcoxson Family Babies

Scottie and Kate brought Evan over last weekend and I got a couple pictures of all the Wilcoxson Family Grandsons. Would you like your baby in Tall, Grande or Venti?

We've been kinda busy lately. Though this week all of us have been sick. Brian got over it the fastest, my cold is still lingering, and both boys have it too. Poor Cole got his first ear infection from this nasty stuff and it ruptured his ear drum. He'll be fine, but it just causes some worry. I don't want him to go down a road paved with multiple ear infections like Carter has.

Here are some pictures of Cole I took this afternoon. He is SUCH a cutie. He loves to grab his feet. He rolls over all the time and loves to be social.

I have to boast on Carter for a moment. After we moved him into his big boy bed and room, we would read books, tuck him in at night and wait until he fell asleep before we left the room. Some nights we would fall asleep too. And while we had good intentions at the time (wanting to ease the transition of new room and new baby), we could no longer keep that up and still have time for ourselves in the evening. So over the Memorial Day weekend we had a big talk about how big boys sleep in their own beds (he was starting to come in our room at night and want to sleep with us) and that Mommies and Daddies slept in their beds. We told him that if he went to bed by himself like a big boy and slept all night long in his bed and woke up in his room he could get a Sleep Treat. His Sleep Treat bucket has random trucks, cars, stickers and stuff in it. Well the first night he cried for about 3 minutes and the next night just over one minute. By the third night I could leave the room after reading books and singing songs and he wouldn't even fuss. It worked! And now it works for naps too! It's so nice not to spend an hour getting him to sleep. I look forward to those 15ish minutes at night now, where we talk and sing together. One battle down - Go Carter!
Now with that said, it has been about 4 weeks. so there are some days he sluggishly goes in there or calls out to me to come get him because he's not ready to nap. Some of the things he comes up with are hilarious. The other day he yells, 'Mommy, it's dark. I can't see my finger!" I died laughing - he had a light on in there, he just wanted me to come get him. Then sometimes after I leave for naps, he calls out and says "Mommy, I wake up" Uh, yeah - you're awake, you didn't just wake up. He's so cute!
